    Sure, that's the megalomaniacal fantasy Italians would like the rest of us to believe. Their power was certainly not rooted "intelligence", it was in the fact that they threatened, corrupted, and murdered honest citizen with in the system, outside of having institutional "ins" they were not much more than tribal barbarians; and that really hasn't changed much, Italians have yet to evolve.
