Abbiamo già parlato del fatto che in Afghanistan molti uomini focalizzano il loro interesse sessuale su bambini maschi (in particolare tra gli i 8 e i 14 anni). Per descrivere il fenomeno è stato creato un termine apposito: bacha bazi.

Alcuni di voi sapranno che l'Afghanistan dal 2012 è considerato dall'America come il maggior alleato al di fuori della NATO e che perciò i soldati americani hanno collaborato coi soldati dell'esercito afghano.

Secondo le testimonianze dei soldati americani, i soldati afghani avevano rapporti sessuali con bambini maschi nelle basi militari e pare che i vertici abbiano ordinato ai soldati americani di ignorare la cosa.

Quello che si osserva in Afghanistan in realtà è solo la punta dell'iceberg, nel senso che la pedofilia omosessuale in realtà non è una questione strettamente afghana, ma islamica.
