WanderAbroad 1 settimana fa:
A lot was said but no direct commitment to anything was said here.
I was born in a Muslim country and that was my life for 18 years. I find it amusing when someone tries to instruct me on how Islam should be perceived because they have a few Muslim friends or because they read some books. I also find it terribly fascinating when people state "their country has it bad and therefore they are allowed to come here in an illegal fashion." The Irish were starving to death in famine yet they had to follow the laws of the U.S. to stay here. Russia has always been a mess and yet Russians have to follow the laws to stay here. I have relatives who immigrated to the U.S. from Sweden and Switzerland and guess what? They had to follow the laws to stay here. Why do the majority people come to America? To escape their hardships or failing and/or war torn countries. They had to follow the laws. Why is the president some big horrible bad person for requiring that Muslims do the same? Why are Muslims the only ones that are supposed to receive preferential treatment over the past couple centuries? I have one theory. After living in a couple countries after my years in an Islamic one and after living around other religions I know this for certainty. Muslims are masters at appearing to be the victims while blatantly getting away with being perpetrators of violence and civil unrest. Only a Muslim can make you feel sorry for them while circulating pictures of someone of their religion sawing heads off. They are truly masters of manipulation. Now Mr. Penn, I respect you and actually I like you too, but please let me say that you are erring in the exact same way that President Bush did. You are erring in that you said, they need our help. What Bush did not realize and what I believe Mr. Penn does not realize is that they do not want our help. Not now, not ever. They want the benefits of our society while completely rejecting our views, ways or methods. You can't eat your cake and have it too as the old saying goes. It's like China, they want the success of the U.S. while enforcing communism. That's like refusing to give an airplane wings but wanting it to fly. Before Islam can live in the U.S. it must do two things. Embrace it's laws (as did all those before them) and tolerate other religions. For this reason I can live with a Seventh day Adventist on one side of me and a Jehovah witness on the other. The most I fear from them is greatly being annoyed but never do I fear for my life.Nobody is more inferior than those who insist on being equal. - Nietzsche
