Hacking Phones through USB Power Plugs

Millions of people every day charge their phones in cars, hotels and airports connecting their precious devices to some random free USB port.

It would not take too much for a motivated entity to modify the controller chip for those ports so that it jailbreaks the device and installs some virus or trojan.

If the phone reboots after connecting it to a USB plug in the airport very few would think something is up, but their phone could have just been hacked.

Just in case, bring your own charger or better yet always use a charge-only cable to power up your phone.
