According to the police, four 17 old girls had rented out an house on AirBnb. The girls were apparently attesting a local basketball festival, inviting people to a party. Reportedly more than a hundred Sudanese immigrants showed up in the area, waking up local residents demanding to know where the party was.
At least two of the girls were assaulted by the African immigrants, at which point police were called. The situation escalated and the Africans started destroying the house and attacking cars and other houses on the street. The Africans then turned on the police belting them with stones and metal rods. It took more than two hours for the riot police to quell the attackers, with terrified residents being forced to hide in their homes.
